Classes in Baguio City and Benguet suspended until March 22 | Igorotage
Classes of all levels will be suspended at private and public schools in Baguio City and Benguet Province beginning today until March 22.
This is part of the precautionary measure of two LGUs for students to avoid COVID-19.
It also ordered school officials and administrators to conduct sanitation and disinfection in their classrooms and facilities.
Meanwhile, Benguet Governor Diclas issued Executive Order No. 2020-14, which will suspend all tourism events and crowd-drawing activities in the province, with the operation of restobars and karaoke bars effective today until April 10.
Baguio General Hospital Medical Center (BGHMC) Chief Dr. Ricardo Ruñez said they will no longer accept private patients, for all available private rooms there will be used in the event of an increase in the number of patients under investigation admitted there.
The Saint Louis University Hospital also has a lockdown where its main entrance can be accessed by watchers as it will no longer welcome visitors, especially those without official business there.
Both hospitals in the city set up a triage area for their clients.
