Igorot male pageant veteran Kelvin Aguilan Vicente, from Benguet, almost won Mister Universe Tourism 2019.

Kelvin Aguilan Vicente, 27, of the Philippines nearly won the Mister Universe Tourism 2019. Kelvin, a veteran of beauty pageants, was named the first runner-up of the international male beauty pageant.
Vicente was born in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines on February 6, 1992. He finished his studies at Cordillera Career Development College in La Trinidad in 2012.
La Trinidad is known for its Strawberry Farm, Mount Kalugong Eco Park, Bahong Rose Gardens, and the Stobosa Hillside Homes Artwork. It is close to Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines.
Prior to Mr. Universe Tourism 2019, Vicente won several beauty pageant titles in the Philippines. Among them are Model of the Year Tiongsan Fashion Show 2016, Mr. Cordillera-Festival King 2016, Grand Winner King of La Union 2016, and Mr. Casa Fitness Model 2017.
Hosted by Miss Earth Philippines 2013 Angelee delos Reyes and Nico Locco Fowler, the G. Universe Tourism 2019 coronation night took place at the Carlos P. Romulo Theater of the RCPC Plaza in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. This is the third edition of the international male beauty pageant.
Andrew Rorano Karetji, 31, of Indonesia was the second runner-up. Surasak Mueangkeaw, 24, of Thailand is crowned Mister Universe Tourism 2019.
Vicente is Best at Swimwear while Surasak is Best in Formal Apparel.
Karetji won most of the national awards Best National Costume, Best Tourism Video, Best Talent, G. Nix Institute of Beauty, and the Ambassador of Peace.
Min Khant Zwe, 21, of Myanmar won the G. Photogenic award. Other candidates are Ali Zebib of Benin, Tushar Mishra, 23, of India, Prajwal Shrestha of Nepal, Mazan Saeed, 31, of Pakistan, David Oliver Keller, 28, of Switzerland and Luan Nguyen of Vietnam.
Mr. Universe Tourism 2018 Brata Angga Kartasasmita of Indonesia graced the coronation night. He was originally named Mr. Universe Tourism 2018 first runner-up but he was promoted when the original Benigno “Ion” Dungon Perez of the Philippines was removed for failing to fulfill his duties.
On the eve of the coronation night of Mr. Universe Tourism, it is announced that the fourth edition of the international male beauty pageant will take place in 2020 in Bali, Indonesia. It will be hosted by Kartasasmita.
