Ensign Daisy Rose Gubia-on, of Kalinga and Mountain Province, is Top 1 of PMMA Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation.

Ensign Daisy Rose Alinduat Gubia-on, of Pangol, Tanudan, Kalinga and Bunot, Paracelis, Mountain Province, graduated as Top 1 of her class in Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation.

Ensign Daisy Rose Gubia-on is Top 1 of PMMA Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation.

Apart from being the top 1, Gubia-on was also a recipient of the Vice President Saber award, Discipline and Leadership Training, and the Best in Thesis Award.

The 26-year-old shared she decided to enter the prestigious Maritime academy after finishing her Bachelor of Science in Criminology at the Kalinga State University for her family.

“I entered the academy carrying the dreams and hopes of my family. I want to give them a brighter future and a happy life,” she said.

The graduate also encouraged the next PMMAers to just deal with difficult situations and not let challenges defeat them.

“To those who want to join the long blue line, believe in yourselves and commit all to God.”

Ensign Gubia-on will be joining the Philippine Navy.

The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy “Masidlayag” Class of 2022 has opened its commencement rites to the parents and loved ones of the Graduating class.

The graduation was a momentous event both for the cadets and PMMA as it opened its gates to those who wanted to witness the start of the journey of cadets to professional life.

Another Cordilleran who stood out from the 114 graduates of the PMMA Masidlayag Class of 2022 is Ensign Blessy Abaggoy from Bulo, Tabuk City who is Top 5 of the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering class.

Ensign Gearald Kris Dawagan of Agbannawag, Tabuk City is top 7 in BS Marine Engineering and is also a recipient of the Philippine Coast Guard Saber award.

Ensign Zerakaye Suwan Ga-oy of Ipil, Tabuk City finished as the rank 9th in the Bachelor of Science Marine Transportation.
